I've lived in Vista del Lago for 3 years now. I think I have a pretty good understanding of what goes on around here. Parking is horrble!!! There are too many apartments in one little area. I'm always seeing people drive around to find a parking spot. Not to mention, my roomate and my boyfriend's cars have both been broken into right in front of the apartment. This is unacceptable!! Maintenance seems to be useless. They come when they feel like it. The apartment itself is nice, but thats about it. The office staff seems to be in there own world. You'll be lucky to have them acknowledge you when you drop off your rent check. "just put it in the drop box!" is what they say. My lease is up soon and I'm definitely moving. I can't take it anymore.

I hear ya about the parking. However, I think your location has a lot to do with the problem with break ins. I live close to the leasing office and it is so quiet at night, you could hear a pin drop. I know they have security that drives around. Did you notify Chris the manager about the break ins? I am sure you called the police, but calling management is good too. He does respond quite quickly and will have the security people do more patrols in your area. Who knows if that would help or not, but it's worth a try. I agree about the apartment. I really like my unit and it is spacious and the appliances are terrific. Brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer, full size, not stackable. Their is a lot of closet space, and the bathroom is huge, not to mention the huge tub. If you are concerned about your car getting broken into, there is another property up the hill on Los Alisos, Sky View, that has garages and it is quite nice, but I at least a few months ago, they were pretty full depending on what size unit you need. I have lived in much worse places that this. But I can understand your concerns. The other think I don't like is the fact we are so far away from the freeway.

I live in Vista Del Lago now and know for a fact that the post from:Anonymous on 4-26-2008....nobody in this complex would take the time to defend this manager Chris,whom is an hourly snake and miser...way to go Vista Del Lago staff...yet another way to try and cover your tracks...haha

It's easy to rack up three years here when they insist on a year's lease or a $400 per month rent increase. Only the greediest of corporations would insist on that. Everything in the post sounds right to me, though we can now get larger, better apartments for less money elsewhere. I'm getting out.
