I have moved in to this apt exactly 1 month ago ,my toilet backed up the first time i used it, and repeatedly about 5 times in the month.this time it was unbearable with ---- from the apartments above mine overflowing in to my toilet, I had to stay for the entire weekend with my house smelling of ---- and when I asked the manager about it she was very rude to me asked me to leave the office and threatened to call the COPS.I personally think this apt needs a new manager ,newplumbing system and toilets.What sort of manager threatens to call the cops when the tenant complains of a problem, and to add to all that the day this happened was my birthday and I told the manager I could not have anyone over because of the smell and she says" well that's your problem".
the apt looks very good on the outside ,once you move in you'll see what it actually is.

Of course you have the right to complain, but the way you worded it, it sounded like you walked in to state your complaint and she just threatened to call the cops, which sounds very far-fetched to me. I wasn't there obviously, but my guess is you were upset and got confrontational, and instead of handling it a little more professionally, she got confrontational as well. Hey, I'm paying the same thing and I expect certain things as well. The reason I've never had a problem with management and have had any problems fixed quickly is because I approach them with a nice attitude. I have never experienced any kind of bad attitude or hostility from anyone in the office, so, speaking soley from my experience, I'd say they'd have had to be provoked somewhat.

oh yeah, i have every right to complain whaen i'm paying 1310 a month and not getting the basic services that every other apt provides.I also agree with the person who wrote that these people spend more on landscaping than on maintenence,what goog is a good lawn when you can't use your bathroom and your house stinks. It's the manager who did'nt handle it well and not me, I was'nt even talking to her when she threatened to call the cops on me ,I was talking to another girl in the officce when she decided to jump in and threatened to call the cops. I would like to see how you would react to a situation like that, being insulted in front of 3 other people, and yeah I will dare to complain if anything like this happens again.

So do you think maybe they might of been short staffed? I have friends that live in these apartments and they have nothing bad to say. If-fact they tell me that they have a landscaping company tha takes care of the landscaping, and maintenance does the maintenance work. Arent these apartments brand new? When you have brand new apartments or even a house for that matter, there are things that DO go wrong. Things that are unexpected. You cant possiable know all the problems right away. Also I have heard from a very reliable resource that there was some debres in the plumbing that caused the back-up. You should be lucky they didnt blame that on you, and you should also be lucky that they replaced your entire bathroom floor just because a little bit of poop fell on it. I know how people like you are. Always wanting something for free. It is people like you that make it so hard to run businesses without feeling like your going to get sued because something is said, that no one meant any harm from it. And remember you are in America! The land of the free.
