If you currently live at Brooks Landing get a copy of your lease and read very carefully the part where it states the move out charges. I just moved in and now realized i will be charged close to $500 to repaint my 2x2 apartment when i leave after my 6 month lease term! My deposit was only $400. So this means i will recieve a bill at the end of my stay here' I looked up tenant rights on yahoo search & found that paint is normal wear & tare & I should not be charged at the end of my lease. I'm sure what they are doing is not legal. After talking to another resident in my building i was informed that Brooks Landing has been sued more than once or twice & the previous tenants have won. What the lawsuites are regarding to i dont know but i wouldnt be suprised to find they are regarding move out charges! Renter beware. Read your lease very carfeully, more carefully that i did. =(

hi, i just moved out and they are trying to charge me for repainting after only living there for one year, also charging for the full amount of the carpets. all is true, what he/she is saying. I think they are running this place with no ethics and no standards. Renters beware of the things they are doing illegally, for the best info contact CRLA. YOU HAVE RIGHTS!
