I moved to Highland Meadows because I was led to believe that it was a nice, quiet place to live for me and my two kids. I was told there was on site security patrol, and when I first saw the place, it was beautiful. THEN, I find out that I wasn't moved into the area they showed me...turns out they had what I like to call, "overflow" apartments. These apartments are horrid...the neighbors are loud, obnoxious potheads, the interior of the apartment is hardly desirable. The tile in my kitchen is peeling backwards because they just placed new "tile" over the old stuff. The ant problem is disgusting. Maintenance never fixes the problems you call them for. The "security patrol" is actually some security company that you have to CALL to get them to come out, and half the time they won't. The pot heads up stairs party 6 days a week until 4am, so me and my two kids rarely sleep. All management does is write letters, which obviously doesn't do anything. I've found razor blades, partially smoked joints, knives, dirty tampons and broken bottles all in the front of my apartment where my kids play, because the neighbors don't believe in using trash cans. Oh, and that air conditioning and heating that they talk about' You only get one or the other. "Hydronics" they call it. You can only have either air or heat, if you have heat and want cool air, you have to call the office and request that someone come out and switch it to A/C, which could take anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks, and by then you don't need it anymore. RIDICULOUS! Then, if you actually request maintenance to work on something, they never tell you when they'll be there, and the only way you'll know they were there is the mess they leave...dirty hand prints all over, your household stuff is toppled over and never picked up, and the job you needed done is about 10% complete, and they call that "fixed". What a joke! Had I known that this place would make my life a living HELL, I would never have signed a 9 month lease.

if you're so uncomfortable then move out..I would of you don't have to live there if you feel so unsafe..

I have lived here for 1 1/2 years with my 18th month old son and husband, I have hated this place since about a week after we lived here, everything this poster is refering too is too I would never recommend an honest hard working family to move here it's just too unsafe! The management is HORRIBLE! And I swear they play favorites, we have always paid rent on time, never used anyone elses parking, and we keep really quiet after roughly 8 pm but anything we have a problem with they can never seem to anything about, it took us 4 MONTHS to get our a/c swicthed over plus with me whinning at them every two weeks or so didn't do anything! I should have taken them to court but that's in the past. So PLEASE DO NOT CONCIDER MOVING HERE, you can definatly find a better place around the area.

Yes you are so right!! This is a very bad place people climb over the fence and Management is very clueless on everything they walk around thinking that their cute and care less about you, unless your their favorite. We are move very soon
