I've lived in this complex for almost a year and cannot wait till my lease is up. There are constant fights in the common areas, people hanging out on the stairs not moving when you are trying to go up or down them, kids using the gate phone to make crank calls (I could go on). It's not a safe place to live, I won't even let my son go outside and play anymore.
The people below us are constantly playing their music at high volumes making our floors vibrate at 4 in the morning. When I call security I'm always told that they aren't sure if they patrol our community and to please leave a number for them to call back...which they never do and the noise never stops. The carpet in my apartment was shabby and stained when I moved in and the paint is all cheap flat paint that stains from the slighted touch and doesn't come clean (even in the kitchen).
They misrepresent themselves. When I first checked out the apartment I was told that they worked out a deal with Verizon to get DSL for an extra $20 a month however, when I go to sign the lease that's suddenly not offered anymore. When I called Verizon to get it installed myself I was told that DSL isn't available here and never was to begin with. I was also told that there was a deal on the Garages and you could rent one for $30 a month and the deal was good for the next couple of weeks, low and behold when I was signing the lease (less then a week later) I was told that deal just ended the day before.
Overall the absolute worst apartment I have ever lived in!

Actually I had Verizon Avenue through the apt complex. Yes they did end it, but I called Verizon Avenue to ask to continue my service, and asked if they have any specials going. And yes! I continue to get the internet for $20 a month. I am not saying this is the best place to live on earth, just that they did not lie to you about that. Also, sorry to hear about your horrible neighbors. I have some that play their music quite loudly all hours of the day and night as well.
