An Above average quality complex in the affordable price range...

I was very happy while at Myers Acres. It is a small complex... 28 or so units as i recall, and divided into two sections, which made them feel even more cozy. There is a long driveway down the center of the property with covered parking in the very back, so all it takes is a quick glance to know just who is driving in and out of your carport area, which does have storage space. All of the units are on the ground floor level, which is a big plus... no one tramping around on your head at all hours, and each unit has a totally enclosed, partially covered patio/back yard area with kitchen door as well as sliding patio door access. Personally, I like having a window above my kitchen sink, which these do have as well. These units do not have central air and heat, but that makes them cheaper to run. There is an adequate window type air conditioner in the living room, and a gas wall furnace as well, which opens on both the living room side and the bedroom side. Plenty of heat in the winter. All but two of the apartments are two bedroom units with one larger bedroom and the other smaller. Full bathroom seperates them. They have a ceiling fan/light in the dining area and dishwasher/garbage disposal/gas stove in the kitchen. I recall several of the tennants also had their own washer and dryer hooked up in the back patio area, even though there are two laundry rooms, one on each side of the property. No pool, clubhouse, rec room, shuffleboard or any of that stuff, but think about it. How many times did you end up using all of those "amenities" in other complexes you were living at in the past' It's not too much trouble to get the apartment managers to turn on the sprinklers for the kids to run through and cool off in the hot weather. They are good that way... and in every way. The current managers have been there for many years, take a great amount of pride in the complex and are always very quick to respond whenever there is any problem, maintenance or otherwise. The property is not in what you would call the best neighborhood in Moreno Valley, but it is an island set apart from the rest just the same. And yes, there have been some security issues from time to time over the years, but where hasn't there been' It's not so small that everybody knows everybody else's business, but small enough to notice when someone shows up who doesn't belong. We weren't all gung-ho neighborhood watch kind of people, but simply neighbors who looked out for one another, in a passive, quiet kind of way. I would live there again if I had to move back to Moreno Valley. It's personal, not your big corporate fill out the form, take a number who are you gigantic ant farm hive kind of environment.
