The "gated" community offers a false sense of security-when you open the gates, someone waiting goes in right behind you, people on foot push the gates open and walk right in. "On site maintenance" is a joke. It took 3 weeks before my kitchen faucet was fixed and I was told this was a common problem, but when fixed a good job was done. When I first moved in the apartment was dirty and was not ready for move in, carpets were still wet from cleaning and I had a fridge that didn't get cold, the cleaning crew was called back in and move-in was delayed. The gym is small with only 3 pieces of old equipment. You get all kinds of notices on your door from the office plus fliers and soliciters. Receiving packages is an issue, I lost one. Only recently the mail boxes for packages were put to use, before that (and if there is another key issue) you would pick up packages from the post office. If you ask staff to check on any packages (you have to ask 'cause no one notifies you) they display annoyance by you. Residents do not follow speed limit and kids do play in the street, and around the gates for that matter. With apartment living you share walls and therefore can expect some kind of noise from neighbors but there are loud neighbors here. Staff have an attitude when they know you're there to complain. A few times no one was in the office during office hours. The grass and plants are well kept but there are often times trash around the complex and pets are not always cleaned up after by owners. Parking is difficult, embarrassing when you have guests who try to come over. The tow truck is here often and really looks for someone to tow. Positive things: EXCELLENT location! All appliances are included, good layouts, quite new, kitchens have lots of storage, you have a patio with a storage closet, central air, pool with jacuzzi, direct access garages available.
