I lived at vista springs for one and a half years. The gate is stupid, you can stick any card into the front gate slot and it will open, you don??t have to use the card they give you. Plus the gate only keeps unwanted vehicles out, not unwanted people. Another problem is that if you are getting home late at night you have to roll your window all the way down to put the gate card in to open it, with this area, its not safe. Every time I got home let I would feel uncomfortable opening the gate at night. And yes your car does get broken into, my pony rims were stolen within a week of me being there. There was also a shooting about a year ago where a man was killed by a police officer, a young boy witnessed it all. And when you move out, no matter how perfect the apartment might be, they will take your full deposit. They will put on BS charges like "clean drapes fee," there aren??t drapes, there are blinds, and I didn??t realize it took fifteen dollars to dust them. When you move in the apartment will be filthy. It seems as though the maintenance workers use the restrooms in the empty units and piss every where, and it never gets cleaned. Once you notify the management of this problem they say that someone will be over in a couple days to clean, and how long do they expect me to go without using the restroom, well it seems forever. The cleaning crew doesn??t show up and you end up cleaning the apartment while you are moving in, and then you clean it again when you move out, and then they take money out for cleaning fees, even though they wont be cleaning a thing. I told them they should be paying me, but they disagreed. I don??t recommend living here, it was $955 a month for a filthy one bedroom apartment, in a bad area, not worth it.

You really have to question the intellect of a person that expects a gate to keep everyone out! It's a deterant, not the gates of heaven protecting you from the stupidity you obviously live in. I could see how that would suck if you had to deal with a party next door. You should see it now the residents are pretty friendly(atleast the ones by me). In regards to the shooting, there was a domestic dispute where a woman called the police. The newspaper said that the man became rowdy and tried to take the billy club from the police officer. So, the police officer shot the man. The young boy was the man's child. Tell the whole story next time. Or are you one of those people who doesn't know the whole story and just blabs half truths. As for my deposit, I don't know how that will work but I've lived here now for almost 2 years and I just renewed my lease for 18 months so I won't be finding out anytime soon either....I think that my deposit was only $250.00 so for what will be 3 and a half years (if I decide to leave after my new lease is expired) I'm sure I will have beaten out the normal wear and tear standards by law. Like I've said before I like Vista Springs and I wouldn't have referred my family here if I didn't believe it was a nice place to live.

Intellect oh sweetheart you have no idea who you are talking to and yes I knew the whole story and that man didnt have a son he had a daughter, good job. And does that really have anything to do with the story, there were kids everywhere outside I am sure plenty of them saw the incident, I did, my roommates did, and so did numerous other residents...how dare you try to justify the cops actions. Go ahead and recommend it to your family riverside is full of stupid people why not bring more in? I am out of riverside and so very thankful, screw vista springs and screw you. what I said was accurate. And yes I expect a security gate that keeps everyone out especially when its advertised that way...but its cool why not have drug dealers and crack heads hanging out with our children? Gates as a deterant? what a joke, gates are supposed to keep people out, you cant deter criminals especially with a little gate. And a drunk man fights with a cop, what a great reason to shoot someone, good job riverside police! Honestly I recommend never moving to riverside altogether, its too hot, its not a nice city, and the people in general suck. But apparently I am the stupid one for leaving riverside all together, good luck in the hell, you can have it.
