Not Good, Not Bad From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/8/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007   Pros: * Apartment unit looks nice, new fixtures and appliances. * Exercise Room/Sauna * Recreation Room * Location Cons: * Though apartment looks nice, the paint keeps peeling from the walls and cabinets. * Though there is an exercise room and sauna, it's been under "construction" with unfinished fixtures and abused equipment. Under construction since I moved in last August--it's now January 2007. * Though the recreation room is large and has a pool table, it too is under "construction" and has unfinished fixtures and is usually messy. * Location is still good, but there seems to be a lot of police activity in the area and the apartment complex next door has a Mexican shrine/altar at the curb leading me to believe somebody was killed there--perhaps a true sign of the neighborhood. We had a lot of run-arounds with the previous management regarding maintenance and empty promises, but the new management seems to be more responsive and proactive--they came on-board in November 2006 (maybe December). New management seems to be cleaning the place up a bit. The elevator had been out of order for months and I believe it is now running, though we had to use the steps to move in which was unbelievably tedious. There still seems to be an issue with people (tenants or workers) leaving gates and doors propped open. More than once "Day-Laborers" have been wandering around the property. Shrubs at the entrances are a little high and there ALWAYS seems to be toddlers on tricycles or running around behind the bushes just waiting to be hit when cars pull in/out. Cutting or removing the bushes would be nice and a lot safer.
