i think there may be a skew towards negative reviews here, maybe because people who are satisfied probably won't tend to post a review. so here's a review from a satisfied renter.

location is great, easy access to pretty much every major road/freeway. we moved into a 3rd floor, renovated apartment right after we got married and have lived here for 2.5 years. we've had a handful of maintenance requests, and they've been handled in a timely fashion (usually a day or two).

as for noise, we only share one wall with our neighbor, who's elderly and pretty quiet. we can hear our downstairs neighbors -- especially their bathroom fans -- but what do you expect' it is an apartment after all. oh, there is some freeway noise as well since our part of the complex is close to hwy 85.

we feel pretty safe around here -- none of our cars has been broken into and we feel perfectly fine walking around at night. we like to entertain, so it's a huge plus that there's ample parking for guests.

it's nice to have a staffed mailroom, where they accept your packages if you're not home. and you can pick up your packages until 11pm, which is nice. also, we got locked out once, and the security guy at the office was kind enough to loan us a key to get back in...and we didn't get charged for it! also, the office hours are convenient since they're open every day.

now for the complaints. our building is a little old and could use some renovating -- new carpet, paint, entry doors, and washers/dryers would be nice. the elevator is a little bit freaky -- not sure when it was last inspected.

there isn't much ventilation in the apartment if you don't open the windows, so condensation builds up on the windows/sliding doors, which can lead to mold build up if you aren't careful. i think double-paned windows would help. also, the screen door frames are crooked so that the screen doors aren't flush with the walls. so during the warmer months, bugs (mostly small moths) would come in through the cracks.
