Eeeew. I can't believe there's some idiot that's willing to pay $1525 to $1550 for this place, at least that's what the apartment mgmt. thinks. As a result, my rent just went up $50. Swell. Thanks for nothing.

I love the floors how they squeak everywhere you walk. Thank God I live in the 3rd floor, because I used to live on the 2nd and it was murder, because at the wee hours of the morning you can hear everything above you. Did I mention you can see roof being uneven and certain parts of the apartment that are obviously shifting due to age, poor construction or both'

Meanwhile, there is mold growing on the walls around the screen doors in both bedrooms.. and they still haven't been cleaned up yet despite multiple phone calls to the apt. complex.

Let's be honest - the only ones moving in as new residents are those foreigners who have lived in other countries, thinking that this place is heaven compared to where they lived back home. Why so many Indian folks love this place, I have no idea.. but they're getting ripped off big time. Chances are 2 out of your three neighbors are Indian here; if you like being in Bangalore this is the place for you.

As a bonus, you can always count on fees for mgmt to charge you for when you move out, even though your place is pretty damn clean. I got charged $175 for.. um.. really. Not much.

The sad part is, this apartment is the best of an below-average crop in Mountain View. Damn this place. I might just eat the month to month fees (additional $100 per mo.) so I can find a better place to live.

The hospital going up next door is not helping matters much, either, btw..

When the best part about this apartment is that there is adequate parking, you know the apartment simply isn't that good. Add that with money-grubbing management, inferior (and slow) maintenance, plus rent increases on a shabbily built and small place equals a terrible experience.

Another thing - don't be mesmerized by the pool and the lake. When the better things about an apartment or what's NOT in your apartment, you need to look elsewhere. Don't be suckered by the pool and the lake, because you're not going to be there much compared to how much time you'll be spending in your apartment. Oh, the weight room and gym sucks, by the way..
