Nickle and dime

I've lived here for close to two years and initially liked it a lot. Beautiful grounds, reasonable prices and responsive maintenance.
Then 7 months ago I got hit with a $75 rent increase (and no more pool heat) and now again with another $50. Management just changed and not for the better: they require renters insurance ($10 per month extra), rent payments are now only by dropping off a check or by credit card (another $16 extra). To top things off, they'll start charging for utilities that used to be included in the rent (another $20-30). Bottom line: $175 in rent increases over the last 7 months: don't rent.
Other things you should be aware of:
- only rent top floors. You will get a lot of noise from your upstairs neighbors, even reasonable ones.
- break ins are going up. My storage locker was broken into and management just told me to get a better lock.
