I lived at the Americana for almost 2yrs. In the beginning the place was great, Sharon, was the nicest office lady and was very responsive to any issues I had. Now, a new management, Prometheus, more like "con"metheus came in and totally ruined the place. They let go the nicest person and just made the complex a living h*ll. They raised the rent TWICE within 6 months, stopped paying water/gas/garbage/sewer, and quit paying any type of insurance an apartment complex should provide. They require you to buy a 100k min rental insurance policy. This complex is now FLAT OUT HORRIBLE!!! I cannot wait until my lease is up so I can get out. I'm even tempted to CANCEL my lease and pay the cancellation fees just so I can get out. I warn you now...DO NOT RENT OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. If you do, good luck and i'll say now..."I told you so!"

"CANNOT WAIT UNTIL LEASE IS UP" says it very well. Sharon was a dreamboat for arranging Neighborhood Watch meetings with the police and residents, planning wonderful community parties whether they were high or low budget gatherings, and keeping a great community bulletin board going. She was instrumental in making the Americana a great community. She went and so did a great security desk attendant and a great maintenance manager. They were all replaced by wretched excuses for property management personnel. How fast can a good apartment complex be ruined? Ask Prometheus. If there were an Olympic event for speedily ruining the quality of life for renters, they would take the Gold, easy. I totally agree with both of the comments above. Sharon, Charlie and Bob were all just great. They were so competent and knew how to create a community feeling. You could count on them to make the Americana a good place to come home to. And they didn't have to talk about it in fancy expensive brochures (paid for, of course, by our rental payments!). Their actions spoke much louder than words, as the saying goes. How we wish the owners would get Charlie, Bob and Sharon back as direct hires. NO MORE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT GROUPS!! PLEASE PUT A TAN GROUP EMPLOYEE IN CHARGE OF A TAN GROUP PROPERTY AGAIN AND FROM NOW ON!
