In our building, Laundry washer is out for the past few days. I called them many times and it is still not fixed. Earlier, when my dishwasher broke, it took them 2 days to come and repair.

Renters are leaving in droves. Just this month, we had atleast 7(may be more) apartments vacated in our building alone, due to rent INCREASE. I heard from other renters that their rent got increased by more than 15%. For all lease renewals and new renters, Americana started charging for water also.

Americana used to have nice duck pond to which i used to take my daughter everyday to feed ducks. Now, it stinks to high hell. I wonder how renters in the nearby buildings are able to bear the stench.

I have been staying in prometheus managed properties for the past 5 years. This the worst prometheus managed property ever.

I am thinking about calling Prometheus head office and complain. Maybe submit an online petetion to Prometheus head office management.

I would be interested in complaining to Prometheus along with you. I am in absolute shock at how quickly and thoroughly this place is falling apart since Prometheus took over. I'm a six-year resident and would have stayed here until I bought a home, but now there is no way. I would love to let Prometheus know. How can I get in touch w/you w/out either of us publishing our names and email addresses over the web here? Ideas?

It is inconceivable to me that Prometheus does not know what is going on here. They seem to be deliberately antagonizing the residents to force them to move out. Why are they doing this? Perhaps they want to tear down the decrepit buildings and build expensive condos or something of the sort.

I agree that something of the sort may be going on. Prometheus owns many properties and may be interested in acquiring this one because of its excellent location. If the owners want to sell the Americana property to Prometheus, they won't care about what happens to the rentals; they may even need the tax write off for losses because they own so many properties in the area that may be doing well. The Americana was developed by and is still owned by The Tan Group in Mountain View with an office on Charleston near San Antonio Road. If The Tan Group cares about keeping the Americana profitable, they would be the ones to inform about problems with Prometheus. They fired Ventana property management when they were antagonizing the residents, so who knows what may happen with Prometheus if enough residents speak up?
