I have lived here for 14 years and have been happy until last year when Prometheus management took over.
I have to say it has been more than disappointing. I here over and over again from the office staff "we can't do anything because of the owners" or " the owners don't want to spend the money". The interior maintenance of the building is embarrasing. There are holes the walls that haven't been fixed for months, painting is much needed,etc.
I have asked for the washing machine to be fixed for six months now with no response. This never happened before. Now when maintenance comes they don't seem to really know what they are doing.
I am sad to say that, unless it improves soon, I will be moving out. It is unacceptable to continue to raise rents so high and increase costs every way they can and not provide adequate service.
The owners need to listen to what is happening.

I totally agree with this- new management is really bad. They act as if they are giving favor to tenants.

I also totally agree with the comments; they are very well stated. I have lived at the Americana for longer than 14 years and have seen managers come and go; some were good and some were bad, but the Prometheus property manager and most of her staff are the worst I've ever experienced. They exhibit an incredible level of disrespect for the residents and do everything they can to be insulting and intimidating. I've hoped the owners would get rid of them, but they are still here, so I'll be leaving as soon as my lease is up. The Americana I lived in and loved is now almost totally destroyed. Everything I enjoyed there is gone except for the location, which of course does not depend upon the management. The location is now their only selling point, and it's not enough to compensate for threatening behaviors, poor maintenance, and unrealistic pricing. One would have to be a true masochist to want to live there now.
