So far so good...

We live in an economy single bedroom apartment. It's a decent size, has a nice patio/balcony, and we're happy with the price of rent. The built-in appliances are a little old looking, but they function fine. We're not happy with the size of the sink, but the management will install a new taller faucet if we buy it. The management is friendly and I've not heard of any crime in the complex other than in the storage areas in the garage (they don't look anywhere near secure anyway and I wouldn't store anything I care about there). When we were moving in, the apartment was cleaned and prepared in record time (3 days'). We very rarely hear the neighbors (mostly just a little creaking from the floor upstairs - not loud). They're currently renovating the leasing office, clubhouse, and fitness center. It'll be done in March, they say, and the building will look MUCH nicer and have a nice movie theater area.
My biggest complaint right now is that you need to remind them once before you can get a maintenance work order serviced. That and during the renovations, the leasing office closed for 3 days due to jack hammering next door and while they left a note on the door, they did not notify residents at all about the closure. So far it's only been 3 months since we moved in, so we'll see how things go as time progresses.

check again on the satisfaction of the price of the apartment; don't forget to add $$ for the H20, gas for heating H20, trash, and madatory rental insurance.
If you don't hear noise, you must not have any neighbors.
