Unwelcoming, crude staff with bad vibes make for an unhappy homefront

Having a staff that is approachable, pleasant, and appreciates the fact that they work on the grounds where your current 'home' resides, can be an important factor in your happiness at your 'home'.
Most of the staff at Americana does not exude a good, warm, fuzzy, feeling, that makes a lot of the tenants, happy to be 'home'.
The boy Jason, ughhh....,(and I do mean boy, in men's pants)
What a special case he is. I think he is a frustrated bitchling, or such. He is so smug, and his communication style, reeks of a 13 y.o. bully on the playground. He makes me wanna throw sand in his face. What a huge, ball of turmoil, he carries around inside.
The two female bookkeepers, (whose desks should be kept far, far, away from the tenants), what a f*&^%$ drag they are. Definitely a miserable pair. Black clouds of misery and disdain follow them.
The only pleasant, normal, person that works there is the Russian, cherub like young lady.
What a saving grace she is for that place. If it weren't for her, I'm sure the apartments would be mostly empty. I hope she doesn't waste her humanity and talent at that hell hole of hatred and bad, bad, juju.
You can hear your neighbors all around you, at all hours. From doors shutting, babies crying, stomping feet, vacuums, scent of cooking, scent of cigarettes; tobacco or marijuana ; in the hall and coming through your vents. Bedroom noises, bathroom noises; you get my drift.
The pond is pretty when you first see it, but bear in mind that summers' here in SC County always have West Nile Virus mosquito carrying alerts. The pond is never drained, and full of duck crap. So when you get that spray of fountain water from the pond on your face; it's not such a good thing. Not so fresh.
Speaking of duck crap, lot's of duck crap on the sidewalks, and the sidewalks are NEVER hosed down. Fresh crap, old crap, piles of it, puddles of it. And it smells like it. Keep that in mind if you wear your shoes in your apartment.
The grounds are not lit well at night. Very creepy walking at night on the sidewalks. Not making a lone person walking, feel so safe. The parking garage is not well lit in some buildings, and the lighting timers don't adjust to the time changes for a few weeks. Again, creepy, walking around in the shadows.
The tenants or their guests, from non-Americana apartment complexes, park in your parking lot, and walk to their apartment across the street. Forcing you to look for parking elsewhere. Forcing me to park in the dark, creepy, garage.
Wanna know who pays the water bill, when non-tenants wash their vehicles; from the faucet that is hooked to the water meter; that is charging Americana tenants. Self explanatory.

The maintenance guys are all friendly ,dependable and always deliver.(Especially with this new set of guys) Hope they don't get poisoned by the other staff.
The washing machines suck. My clothes are barely washed when I use them.

The frequent, 'inspections', for one thing or another, is such a CONSTANT NAGGING INTRUSION! More than the usual, for sure. More inspections than a bootcamp Marine! (And I'm sure there were boots with duckcrap on them; trapezing across my clean carpets and floors)

Yeah, it is convenient to the grocery store, and El Cam, but the staff sucks so hard; I can't help but feel that there is bad karma, and the most unwelcoming feeling, that it is unhealthy to a happy home.
Especially because they are in your 'home'space.

Thank you for your sharing.. I am totally agree with you. One thing you should know as well.. Be carefully of your vehicle and storage. The thief always broke the lock and steal whatever you have in your storage which valuable. They will steal even JUST A WHEELCHAIR. WATCH OUT. Vehicle as well, if you have Honda Accord or Civic, Please don't park inside the parking lot. After rain or if the day is really cold, those thieves always come to the parking which under the building.. (you know, the lighting really dark, specially, after rain and cold weather, no one would like to go out at night.)broker your windows and take your stereo, no matter how tide your holding your stereo in your car.. They will find the way to broker your stereo out. I lived here for 3 yrs. I stayed in Building 19 and 23 was ok. But if you move to Building 16, 13, 11 .. which at other side of the apartment.. Please watch OUT. You are basically not safety.

My advise: Please buy a house and settle down. Apartments are always crappy and management folks are always idiots.

Apartments are not always crappy. There are plenty of great ones in Santa Clara county. Plenty of former tenants have found one!

The criticism of the staff is right, specially the boy Jason. But the rest of the thing is a bit overdone. The last management was much, much better.

You are absolutely correct. I went to inquire for an apartment and the management was so rude and condescending. They want to charge $500 more for a washer and dryer in the unit. They have such a bad attitude.
