The manager was very pleasant and friendly during my stay there. But when I gave the notice to vacate not one Penny of my $1700 Security Deposit was returned. They sucked the entire amount from me under the name of repairs.
Even worse I had given my move-out date for a certain Wednesday and my roomate moved out that Monday. The manager assumed (without checking my move out date) that I moved out too and trashed a couple of my boxes that I had packed and kept in the house. In these boxes I lost a lot of my cooking utensils, Pressure Cooker, some Pure SIlver articles. When we returned to the home we found my boxes gone. All that the manager had to say was a sorry. Keep in mind that even when he realized his error he did not return even some of my security deposit.
I was in no mood to file complaints as I was just about to get married and didn't want the happiness in my personal life to get spoilt by these people.
But no I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Also be prepared to pay sky rocket electricity bills during your stay here. The homes are bigger, ahve those olden days windows which send the heat out and hence the electric heater had to always be turned on to keep the house even slightly warm. Also PG&E gave a credit to all its customers for a few months (maybe as a part of some consumer lawsuit or perhaps overcharging or something, I do not remember why) during the time I lived in this apartment, but I received no credits back from the owner.
Also I had to battle the problem of rats - atleast 3 rats died within the house which I had to clean up.
