We just relocated out here about 2 months ago and have been living at Heatherstone for a little over a month.
When we were shown the model I was excited b/c it was the largest and least expensive apartment we had seen out of 15 places. The day of move in changed my opinion.
The locks had been changed so I had to wait around for the maintanance man to hop the patio fence to break in and open my door. There was a GIANT spider in the tub and earwigs in the carpet. The closet door has a hole in it from the front door not having a stopper. The kitchen counter top is just pain so when you use a spray with bleach in it to clean it turns yellow. The cabinets in the kitchen and the bathroom are old and a horrible color. The tub leaks water out of it and the carpets seem really dirty. I'm afraid to walk around barefoot.
There definetly are a lot of bugs, but I'm just not used to it out here. The place is like a forest though, which I'm sure doesn't help.
After reading all the other comments now I'm very upset to think I will have to fight to get back my deposit when we move out. We too had to give a $400 security deposit and a $700 pet deposit. We signed a year and I wish now we had agreed to spend a little bit more money to get something new.
