I just thought I would ad to this wonderful list of great things happening at Heatherstone Apartments in Mountain View California. Yes they are currently undergoing the "Beautification Upgrades". Aside from the rude staff, with exception to ----- the property technician, Heatherstone is plagued with ignorance and flat out lack of personality. As you might now have guessed I currently have nothing nice to say at this time about prometheus property management and Heatherstone Apartments. However, it wasn't always that way. Until July 14th, 2007 I had NEVER had any issues, problems and or complaints. In July I sustained a major injury caused by unmaintained unbalanced, uneven, loose steps that since 2004 I in writing, person, verbally expressed concern regarding the unstability of a few of the steps as they were extremely loose and with a couple would fall forward when stepped on. Well to make a long story short as I was heading out of my apartment I stepped down onto the 4th step from the bottom and slipped off of the step as it tilted downward and was wet caused from the recent spray of the sprinkler. I sustained a severe neck injury and was unable to return to work till the end of the year. I underwent two procedures to correct my injuries and hours of physical therapy. I had numbness and limited use of my right arm for months, which made it very difficult to find any type of normal work. When brought to the attention of --- the morning after I came to find she had NO KNOWLEDGE OR TRAINING on procedures as to how to handle and emergency on property. WOW, everywhere I have worked lived if you are responsible for overseeing a position as IMPORTANT as ------- ------, onsite manager, One would speculate that all would be properly trained on such procedures. I had to DEMAND to have her call in -------. Hours passed and finally I was contacted by ------- who refused to give me the properties insurance information, which is Fireman Fund Insurance (Keep it handy if you plan on moving in), and was told they were closed on the weekends. WHAT!!!! Who has ever heard of a property and casualty insurance company not having a 24 hour a day 7 day a week 365 day a year claim line. I haven't. So I called an attorney. Well on Sept. 1, 2007 began the on sought of what some might refer to as pure harassment. Within just a matter of a month I received a unspeakable amount of notices and 3 day notices nitpicking things that have never seemed to be an issue in the past. All of which I was not the only tenant to be in "violation" however, the only one to receive notice. Every month they lost my check. I confronted ------- with concerns of these notices and was treated with disrespect and as she was hanging the phone up she uttered "Stupid ---" , yes I am openly ---. When my lease expired they refused to let me sign a lease they offered, accepted rent for November and December under the one year lease terms and in January refused my rent and demand almost $2000.00 to pay the difference for month to month for November and December and The month to month rate for January and even added a $50.00 late fee.
