Park Vista Apartments

Avoid this place at all costs!!!! From: rogue_boy Date posted: 9/6/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006 2 responses   This place is one of the most horrible ghetto places you could move into. The management is extremely rude, greedy and bad at giving notification on things. I have had the manager complain about noise to us but not to the rest of the tenants who are much worse (we only played DDR) yet her children run booming through the house more often and much worse. The walls are so thin that you can hear showers and other things kick on through them in the other apartments adjacent. Outside the kids are rather noisy, tenants talk extremely loud, or latino music blares from cars of tenants that want to sit there and listen to it for 20 more minutes after getting home before they shut the engine off and go inside. Construction is also going on outside and gets quite horrible for those who like or need to sleep in like grave yard shifters. The place has cob webs everywhere and the lights go out frequently and are seldom replaced. Someone could seriously injure themselves. The kids are let to run free and will cling to your items if you go home from shopping through the main entrance rather than one of the sides. They are also out in the middle of the parking area and often even the adults don't watch where they are going besides the kids when you are driving around. Lots of blind spots. Some of the kids are even left unsupervised to dig in the dumsters to play. Those who get junk mail simply just throw it and there are messes of paper all over the area near the mail boxes during those mail days. The kids and adults both even play near the construction going on next door or ride their bikes through there not even caring. There is a hole in the fence they just cross right through to get in too. If you want to do your laundry don't do it here. You have a constant fear of your things being stolen. The machines most of them don't work well or at all and cost way too much per load anyway. If you want to do laundry past 10 pm look out because they don't shut the doors until 5 minutes afterwards and will shut off the machines with your clothes in there wasting your money and your clothes are away from you. If you call the manager she will say tough luck even though she has the keys and leave you stuck without. There is in fact a sign that says not to do your laundry after 10 pm but it is on the front of the door to the laundry room in the parking area underneath the main part of the building. There is no way to see or know this until the door is closed with your laundry inside and you pouting because the sign hides behind the door when the it is open. There are no other signs inside the room itself indicating this as well, go figure. Rather poor warning until you learn the hard way. One of our new room mates was set to move in but they denied him because they didn't meet their 'criteria' of being a lacking green card with a bike dish washer. I guess rich white boys with plenty of dollars and ownership of other apartment complexes aren't allowed to live here. They were supposed to let him know right away but they closed the office early for their convienance and not his leaving him guessing until the month had started and he is still looking for a place. They also failed to leave the promised note on the door outside indicating whether he was approved or not. Either way if you live here expect shadey and rude management and tenants with lots of kids around. Also if you ever get evicted or choose to leave take note that they do not shred your application documents they have on you and simply toss them in the dumpster with your personal info in full, including social security numbers, bank numbers, and phone numbers. When we leave at the end of the month they will lose two months rent for having to replace the carpet because it will be illegal not to with how long it has been, and will not have much luck renting it out for a lot as the bathroom for the master bedroom is in sad shape as well. The place is filthy in many regards. Avoid this place at all costs unless you are extremely desperate and get out as soon as you can if you do. Don't expect your friends to be able to visit either as visitor parking is non-existant and if you park out front in the visitor parking for the main office during non-office hours which isn't an issue they leave a illegal parking sticker on your wind shield that leaves a persistant sticky film on the glass. Even if they have your tenant vehicle info and you are parked in the other areas with a sticker that has falled even 2 inches but still visable from your back window of the car, they will still have it towed. I've heard much talk about people wanting to sue these managers for multiple reasons so again avoid this place at all costs!!!
