OUTRAGEOUS Rent Increase, Shoddy & Slow Service

I have lived here at Los Alamos Apts since 1998 and would NOT recommend it to anybody looking for a place to rent. This year's rent increase was the final straw... it's going up $140!!! That's approximately a TWENTY PERCENT INCREASE!! INSANE!! Needless to say I will not be staying after this year. Apparently they don't care about losing good, paying tenants. And repairs! Don't get me started! It took TWO YEARS (yes YEARS!) to get a balcony door replaced that had fallen off and was sitting on my balcony, useable only as a nesting ground for black widow spiders. They kept conveniently "losing" the repair orders I had submitted. (Just like they "lost" the apartment referral card I had submitted back in 1999 when I DID reccommend the apts to a friend - so of course they couldn't pay me the $200 referral bonus I was supposed to receive). I finally INSISTED they replace the door NOW when a few wasps started building a nest in inside the washer/dryer compartment. PLEASE SHOP AROUND BEFORE YOU MOVE HERE!
