I would like to take this opportunity to let people know that the comment posted on October 15, 2008 in my opinion is false. I have lived here for going on three years and I LOVE IT!!! I can't say much about the previous managers but the new manager has been here since April and she is wonderful. She is always in her office and very friendly and attentive to anything you need. The maintenance man Tony couldn't be better. I have never had to wait for anything to be taken care of. As for the garbage picture that was posted, I have never seen or smelled the garbage. There is a full enclosure around the garbage compactor and it seems to be emptied every week. The flooding issue is somewhat correct. However, it is Napa and everyone who has lived here for any length of time knows that Napa has flooding issues. The city in the past few years has implented new measrues to correct the issues. I ahve never had a problem with any flooding here. I would encourage anyone who is considering moving to Napa to come and look at the complex. I 110% recomend renting here!!

It rains in Napa just like it rains all across the country but there is NO excuse for the mess that happens every time it rains. This was not a flooding situation, it was a poorly landscaped foundation issue that happened every time ir rained. I attached photos for readers to see. The garbage situation is exactly what I posted on this site. They did put sides up but the stench of the rotting garbage wafts through the area from the open top and is nauseating. The top of the garbage area is completely open so the smell is overwhelming. From the marketing the Ezralow family of Los Angeles does it makes these units sound like 'cute little cottages'. What they are , are 4 units attached together in a circle.. They have other units which are stacked alien looking heaps...eyesores for sure. I also forgot to mention that a neighbor whose family lived directly next to the Vineyard Terrace was recently convicted of murdering his wife..a charming little tidbit concerning the surrounding neighborhood. They may have gotten a new maintenence man and or manager but the facts listed above and the facts from my first post about thin walls allowing every noise, even toilets flushing to come through the walls. Babies crying, people talking, wash machines, dishwashers....all keeping one awake at night. And. of course, those cheaply built units with the thin walls promise tenants high heating bills and outrageous air-conditioning bills. There are plenty of other places in Napa and the area to rent. I have traveled all over the world and rented this while in Chicago as I have done with places all over the world. But this is the first time I have ever lived in a slum.

Thank you for providing this info. I am expected to move to Napa in early 09. I originally thought that this property looked interesting until I heard your comments and saw the images. You pointed out exactly what the images and ads led me to believe (little private cottages). It is obvious that this is NOT the case. It is kind of funny that you see one or two random positive comments within all the negative. Either the positives come from an employee or simply from people who do not recognize a nice living environment. How else do the comments go from absolutely awful to the highest marks possible from review to review??!! I'd bank on them being an employee. I REALLY want to thank you for saving me from moving acrossed country into what appears to be a disaster!!! You have been very helpful. I would like to ask your opinion though on WHERE might be a good location to rent directly in Napa. Thanks!

The reason there are less good reviews then negative is because people who want to complain and are unhappy are the only ones to take the time to write things on here. If you look at all the other apartment ratings, they are all pretty much the same for every complex out there. It is unfortunate that more people who are happy and like where they live don't take the time to write...however it is understandable as who thinks to say they are happy rather then unhappy. The ohter reason they jump around in terms of who people who like and dislike the apartments is because "you can't please everyone". This happens all the time! It is unfortunate that some people will read what someone writes and only take that into consideration rather then make an appinion for themseves. I am moveing to Napa and I will be checking out these apartments because I think they are cute. When I go, if they suck, I will for sure write something...but for know I will hold judgement until I see for myself. (also taking into consideration that things change and the bad experiences that one person had in one year may not be an issue anymore).....?
