BAD parking, BAD management, BAD EVERYTHING!!!

Maintenance is for ----. I was scheduled to have my apartment re-carpeted because are carpets is over 7 years old and they made a mistake and didn't carpet our apartment for 2 days. My whole house was packed-up, everything was on one side of the apartment and we all took the day off and they said they need to carpet 3 unoccupied apartments because they could get to our apartment.

We called several times to make sure that they were coming and they just kept feeding us lies. Hillcrest Park Apartments has horrible management and poor staffing skills, they are disrespectful ignorant people.

I do not recommend anyone moving here unless you want to live with endless --------. For some reason if you do decide to move in, make sure you check all the doors, walls, and appliances very well before marking the house as being okay and there formed. When we moved in, everything seemed fine, but over the years we have found there half-ass fixed doors, windows, and walls.

My car was broken stolen while in visitor parking. I'm apartment has been broken into and many items were stollen. My car has been vanalized mulitple times. My neighbors have had money stolen from them while at the pool, there car was broken into, and that kid was killed just a few months ago in the center court. My car is getting constant dings from people swinging there car doors open. I can never find parking after 4:00pm. My neighbors dogs are always barking. Dish washer is is always breaking. Washer and dryers are always broken or the E Card machines are down. Toilet has had issues sense we moved in and they still haven't fixed it correctly. Doors are poorly constructed. Front door lock is difficult.

These apartments may looks nice, but it's nothing different, then living in a guetto.

I hate this place.

Hi Sony raj, we are also in the same boat.We gone to Management any informed them we are not going to pay single penny.Property manager is rude.we sent a mail to essex property.lets see what will happen.

iam leaving here since 10 months, begging we had normal issues.Hillcrest apartment has poor managment ,they are n't respect the people,they r stubborn .I hate this place.I had a problem with bedbugs,i didnt sleep well for so manydays i consult the doc ,she told me dont ignore this this is very danger,u better complaint to ur apartment management .so we compliant abt the bugs ,they said we r charging money for the pest control,we said it was ur responsible for ur tenants problem ,they told me that we r charging,so i asked abt the price ,they said we will send the estimation.But they didnt send the estimaton,they sent which day they r coming&give the instrutions abt the cleaning,after they cleaned i saw the bugs,&they sent the letter after 2 days they cleand the charge was 1300$.we shocked first whats that,that is my month rent,we talked to mangement u must pay the money,we said that this is not the way u apporoched we asked the charging amount,udidnt send anything,this is not a small amount,she talked rudly.this is my problem i hate this apartment I dont recommend anyone

Hi Sonyraj, Iam also havin the same problem. I refused to do this cleaning if it is charged to me, and told that I will do it myself. At that time they didn't told anything and sent the bill for $1300. We went to the Management any informed them we are not going to pay single penny.Property manager is rude and not responding properly.We sent a mail to essex property.lets see what will happen. And we are not going to pay any amount. Have you paid the amount? We are not going to pay any amount. If not you also can join in our fight.

It's very sad that all of you only got 1 side of the story. Let me share what I overheard in the office the other day while I was in the office trying to rent an apartment. I was shocked by the light- hearted comments these two gentlemen made in regarding to the bedbug issues in their apartments. I had firsthand experience in the bay area after a trip oversea. (I later found out that we are the agent for the bug, as I carried them with me from oversea). And I know bedbug infestations is a serious & expense issue even though there's never been shown that bedbug transmit any diseases to humans. These bugs live for months & feed on human blood everynight & the bites resulting in reddish, raised ares on the skin & sleepless nights. I had to hire my own pest control people, causing over $2000 for treament as my landlord ignored my complaint. I have to dispose my mattress & dry cleaning all my clothes in very hot water for 3 different times in order to resolve the problem. So, don't take this light-hearted. Cleaning will not resolve the problem, result can ONLY be achieved by professional treatment. Please, do not ignore your issue as you will be passing your problem to the next person coming after you. SO be socially responsible. $1300 is a large amount of $, But, I paid a lot more than you people do & my landlord totally ignore my problem & do not renew my lease because they simply don't want to deal with my issue. Be glad to have someone that care.

You've lived here for how long? Obviously there is something good about this place that is keeping you here... I am sure the office...the company... the maintenace staff..have not tied your hands behind your back, stuck a pen in your mouth and forced you to sign that lease time after time.. get over yourself.

This poorly written, exaggerated post is obviously to vent. Your house AND your car were broken into? Your car was vandalized SEVERAL times? Why didn't you leave earlier? I have lived here for three years and have experienced one incident which was MY fault because I left my car open. This is a great place to live, how can you even mention the boy that was killed? The man who killed him didn't even live in the apartments! Also I challenge anyone to come to Hillcrest Park at 4pm and try to park... you will find a TON of open spaces.
