Don't Move Here

There have been lots of robberies. People come in through broken gates that managment refuses to fix. Gangs come tracking through here from the neighborhood next door. Sirens always going off and cop cars are always here and there. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and you hear every sound imaginable. Things are always breaking and managment repairs it cheaply so the problem comes back. Constant dog barking all hours of the day and through the night. People don't clean up after their dogs on the lawns. Overall, this is the worst place I have ever lived. Especially if you are a single female, stear clear of this place.

Safe? Did you know that there were three murders in the condos right next to Hillcrest last month and the police were at Hillcrest looking for the suspect? When I lived there the police told me to make sure my doors were locked that they had a lot of crime at Hillcrest? Do you not know how to read? We got a letter on our apartments about three months ago stating to everyone about the increase in crime at Hillcrest? How bad must it be to have the management put a letter on everyone's door. Safe???

Aww thats sad and pathetic when the apartment management has to troll the internet and write fictitious positive reviews to balance out the negative ones, looks like you just might have to hire a full time person to do just that, or maybe get your act together AND STOP SCREWING HONEST PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY.....

I completely agree. The management is there to loot money. Never listen to their verbal agreements. They will use great words like miscommunication to steal your money. Bunch of liers work in that office starting from Bidgit, Randy , Callista,Jose etc..Don't trust these people. Get any apartment any where except this one....

I, unfortunately, was trapped at Hillcrest Park Apartments for more than SEVEN years... In 2000 the place wasn't too crazy with crime, teenage gangs or druggies - at that time the worst part of living there was the "property management" giving lip service to any and all problems. Dogs crapping on the lawn and dogs barking at all hours into the early morning, fences falling down, etc. made life there miserable ONLY because the "property management" NEVER did a thing to stop it. Oh,however, after I was there for 6 months the section of apartments where I lived had no continous hot and/or cold running water for more than 3 months. You could wake up at any time in the morning or come home at any time and have no water or cold water only. It took a petition (which I still have) signed by the tenants that was sent to the San Francisco headquarter office in the third month to have the problem fixed. Over the years the complex has been riddled with car break-ins, vandalizism (teen gangs were setting fires with lint from the lint traps in the laundry rooms on a regular basis), loud, obnoxious tenants & non-tenants frequenting the pools at all hours of the night into the early morning, more barking dogs, excessive people inhabiting apartments, "property management" leaving the offices unattended during the day, drunken booze parties in the communal areas after 6:00 and on weekends. Being accosted in the laundry room by a woman and her boyfriend wasn't a very great experience either. Now that I have finally been able to find another place that accepted my pet and had saved enough to get out I am FREE!!! After 7 years there they just sent me my statement of security deposit and are charging $80.00 for CLEANING FEES. Take note, if you have a choice DON'T MOVE IN. If you are already there, do as I did, take a witness with you and video the apartment after its vacant. Also, always get a rent receipt (and you have until the 5th day of the month to pay rent)- I learned to get a rent receipt the hard way when I paid my rent by check and three days later I received a 3-day quit or pay rent notice. Luckily they had cashed the check but lost the ability to record the payment. This corporation is a multi-million dollar business with thousands of units throughout the United States and they still want $80.00 from me to clean their property. By the way, I left it cleaned...

I'm willing to pay $80 to clean the place. Whatever, but when they return nothing because they have all these repairs.... BS! I cleaned, the apartment, repainted and filled holes from nails from pictures, shampooed carpet (which was old, we had 2 different carpets), but still we got $13 back from our original $1800 deposit. WTF?
