To start out let me be honest I lived in this hell hole for 6 months way back in 2006. I am NOT a vindictive person but the way I was treated and robbed of my hard earned cash, makes me keep coming back and checking this forum and wishing I had some power to stop these criminals who call themselves apt managers, I have written reviews detailing my grievances and after complaining to the BBB these low life's tried to threaten me via a collection agency. I had since moved on to a new apt in Sherman Oaks, lived there for 2 yrs, the manager was a darling can you believe she deducted $50 from a $900 deposit and sent me a check for $850 a week after I moved out. I still come back to this forum and am saddened to see people still getting burnt by these blood suckers and see the bogus positive comments by their staff. Think about it HOW MISERABLE does a place have to be for someone to hire staff just to troll the internet writing positive reviews to negate the real ones. Still think the complaints are isolated by a bunch of disgruntled tenants' Take a look at the BBB website;

BTW this is just one there are 3 different listings for Essex (which is the mgmt agency you cannot file a complaint about just the property) they have gotten a D from BBB, which is the worst rating possible.
In conclusion I know this post is going to get a reply from one of the staff at the "hell hole" so just let me say this, WAKE UP!! you are working for a failing enterprise making minimum wage, maybe the manager/Essex forces you to write reviews and make the tenants lives miserable and rob them blind but why don't u at least try making an honest living believe me it FEELS GOOD. An apartment is a person s home, though temporarily. But at least try and respect that. By terrorizing and stealing from them for the good of the management company you have brought nothing but curses and bad karma on yourself. You might say whatever you want in your reply but know this, WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!! and for your sake I hope when it does come around and come around it will, it s not as nasty and dispicable as some of the things you guys have done to the tenants.

Dear A few facts about Hillcrest Park to Help you decide From: -Anonymous- I had to respond to you because I see things have not changed from when I lived there in 2001 to 2002. I think one day somebody will sue the pants off this place for fraud or "something" I pitched such a fit that they did give back more of my deposit. They had some maintenance man who told my husband and I not to clean the carpet and do not fill the nail holes since they are first replacing the carpet and they are going to start using a new paint which would not blend so we took his advice and that is when they tried to nail us for not cleaning the carpet and not fixing the holes. I get emails from this website and always ignore the positive writes because I'm sure it's the minimum wage staff who writes them. Karma will prevail! Best wishes to you!

you know what.... get over your self... I have been living here for 1 year and I just got my renewal letter and guess what... I will pay less, yes that's right.. GET A LIFE AND GET OVER YOUR SELF!! OK ...
