Not a bad place at all

I've lived here for two years with my wife, in two seperate apartments. When we wanted to upgrade to a bigger/nicer apartment, they were very helpful in doing it. They offered us discounted rates for longer lease terms. They were fair with the deposit. Our first apartment had a problem with bugs, but in all honesty we could have been cleaner - I feel that once the problem started, we let it get out of hand instead of trying to fix it immediately. The second apartment we started off fresh, and although we have a problem with ants if we're not careful and clean, I haven't seen a single roach in over a year. They have plenty of doggie poop-bag dispensors that seem to be always stocked.
There is room for improvement for sure, but overall we both had a pleasant stay.

Must be one of the office staff that lives here. Not all will. from your ratings you don't seem to have and idea. parking is very hard if you come after 5pm. Noise well the south side has the freeway less than 100 yards. the front is off Hillcrest Dr. it is a 4 lane and part of Amgen??s highway. Safety: have watched a new renter come out of the pool with a glass cut. See most locals walk in middle of street as not to trip on raided sidewalks. Also have gang members from Los Cacedas housing next door hanging out in the pool areas and checking out the car ports for opportunities. Construction is on going now to fix poor water issues. cant take a shower more than two minutes it goes from hot to cold to scalding. If you are a resident here not the company??s front office person. OPEN YOUR EYES. You might see the security changing his car for the truck that parked in the lot and drive off the property to another site. If your eyes are open you will see him leaving or at shift end switching truck for his car. Thanks for playing :-)

No, I don't work there. I work for one of the auto dealers in Westlake Village. I'm trying to point out that everyone's perception is different, and some of the things that people were complaining about had no direct relation to the office managers (ie the dog crap - the office provides baggies for people's use, just that people are rude and don't use them). Someone cut themselves on glass in the pool? Aren't there signs that say "No glass or bottles in the pool area please" - ?? As a manager myself, I can see how frustrating it is to attempt to provide a safe environment for people and see that idiots who can't follow written signs that are posted for people's safety. I'm not sure why you're complaining about the security company on a website, if you have a genuine concern you should contact the office and let them know. And I use to live in East L.A. I have a hard time beliving so many people complaining about "gangs" in Thousand Oaks when I've seen the real thing. So how did you put it... thanks for playing? Its what you make of it my friend. If you truely are upset with the way things are run there, make a phone call or move out.

I'm moving out because of them. This place is ridiculous, those ------- kids that ride their bikes, oh wait, they hide behind cars and ride out in front of you and think it's funny... management doesn't care... called and told them... did nothing... said something to the kids about how it's a parking lot not a playground and they could get hit... was told to ---- off... now I speed up when I see them... oh well... maybe it will take them getting hit for their parents and management to care what they are doing... oh and there are plenty of people to confirm this... Are you the peole in apt 80 that just moved in from another apt on this property? If so, it's cause you're too nice and don't really realize what is going on!
