This is the worst place on the planet to live. The manager, Laura, and her staff are completely incompetent. All they care about is filling apartments and they F*&K the people already here. We have mold, mice, spiders, and this place is built on the largest ant farm. Water gets turned off without notice and the management tells you to deal with it. Our new neighbor is an MS13 gang member and when we told them that we do not feel safe after my neighbor was approached by him, they said oh well maybe you should call the police. Why, so they know who complained about them' That sounds smart. We only moved he because we needed a place that took our large dog. Good thing we found a new place. Rent was lowered $250, but when we signed our new lease they neglected to offer us and when we asked them about it later, they told us we better research next time. Shady management. Called corporate several times and they don't care either. Stay away from all ESSEX properties. When the laundry room caught on fire they asked if it was an emergency.... HELLO there's a building on fire. You would be better off living in a cardboard box so that you didn't have to waste your hard earned money by giving it to these people. Our assigned parking space is completely useless because it is so far away. We had an abandoned car for 2 months, and they refused to do anything. It looked like it was stolen. Then the scizophrenic tourette lady goes off all the time in Chinese. It's scary, you don't know what she's saying and it sounds like a domestic violence issue. Then I just found out a little boy was murdered here 2 years ago. That was the final straw. We are out!!! Our air conditioner frequently spits out warm air and all they do is put more freon in it when the A/C guy says the unit needs replaced since it's 30 years old according to the tag on it. The maintenance guys are great, but completely unrelated to the way the management handles issues. Also, people that don't live here hop the fences and use the facilities and make a mess of the place and the management does nothing about it because they said "that's not in my job description." What is in their job description' Cause they do nothing!
