Nice building and solid management. . .but right on the train tracks (as in only 10 feet from the train tracks coming right from the Port of Oakland). Sure we have noise proof windows but if you want to open them to get fresh air or keep them open in the summertime (no AC here), you will hear trains all night long. Also, every Saturday night a local club ZAZOO across the street has a dance party and people park their cars right outside my window and often leave liquor bottles, fried chicken bones and condoms on the street for me to see when I take my dog for walks on Sunday morning. Wonderful start to my Sunday!
There is nothing to do in the area. Jack London Square caters to the local businesses and everything within a few block radius shuts down after 6:00. Management said there were plans to put a coffee shop or another establishment on the ground floor, but I have been here a year and it is still vacant.

I live in the area and I never see condoms and chicken bones!!! This comment is a bit derogatory..move to SF and live in a overpriced cubicle.

I live in Aqua Via and I have to state that I NEVER see condoms or chicken bones on the street. I find the original posters remarks offensive.

I live in the Aqua Via apartments facing the train track and confirm this person's review.
I've seen used condoms after Saturday night. The Amtrack trains often idle and they always blast their horn. I even hear the Amtrack announcer scolding passengers to get on the train through loud speakers. There's not much to do after 6 (or before that) but its central location makes it easy to find restaurants or bars nearby. Park St. in Alameda and downtown Oakland (Old Oakland) offer plenty of restaurants and bars. San Francisco is a 15 BART ride away.

Aqua Via has helpful staff and solid management. Also, it's one of the only new, modern, loft-style apartments that allow pets. I've never seen so many dogs. Please curb your pet. :)
