Loud but convenient

I live in the Aqua Via apartments facing the train track and confirm this person's review.
I've seen used condoms after Saturday night. The Amtrack trains often idle and they always blast their horn. I even hear the Amtrack announcer scolding passengers to get on the train through loud speakers. There's not much to do after 6 (or before that) but its central location makes it easy to find restaurants or bars nearby. Park St. in Alameda and downtown Oakland (Old Oakland) offer plenty of restaurants and bars. San Francisco is a 15 BART ride away.
Check out:
The Trappist for Belgian ales on draft http://www.thetrappist.com/ (Old Oakland, Downtown)
Merchant's Saloon at 401 2nd St.is open until 2am even on weeknights http://www.yelp.com/biz/merchants-saloon-oakland.
Soizic's is a offers a pleasant dining experience http://www.soizicbistro.com/ (3rd/Broadway)
The Fat Lady (Broadway) offers a tasty Manhattan.
Aqua Via has helpful staff and solid management. Also, it's one of the only new, modern, loft-style apartments that allow pets. I've never seen so many dogs. Please curb your pet. :)
