After living in the Essex for 8 months, I've had enough of this frat house and have moved out! Although the place may look nice on the outside the complex is becoming increasingly dangerous and run down. The following are events that occured in a 1 month period:
a. weekly parties in the club house (including Sunday evenings) in which 60 people are blaring music, being distruptive, throwing patio funiture, taking drugs and engaging in gang land brawls.
b. Several tenents dealing drugs from apartments.
c. Madame running call girl service out of apartment.
d. large rowdy parties lasting to at least 3am in which bottles of tequila are thrown from the penthouses onto the 2nd floor pool and hot tub areas. This resulted in several people getting glass in their feet the next morning.... including a 3 year old girl.

Whats even more disturbing than the items listed above, is the Essex's managment team refusing to do anything about the problems.
On top of the safety and rowdy parties, the parking is attrocious. Good luck finding a parking spot as some of the tenets regularly park more vehicles than they are allowed. There are also several non-residence parking vehicles in the "secure garage," so dont be surprized if your car gets damaged or stolen. Once again, management wont to anything about it.
Spend your time and money elsewhere. The complex will blow sunshine up your butt, take your money and wont provide the services. Just ask them why the hot tub was out of service for 3 months....
