If you look around the web, you will find comments from Essex's CEO that their goal is to maximize profit with exit strategy. With that, you can pretty much understand that they care or less about their customers.
Holy crab !!! Anyone hears that name "E" should avoid. Again, most of the hostility is toward the old management. Essex rented this place out with a premium rental rate for 2 years (cheap interiors & lousy management) and did nothing to maintain and/or improve it. By the way, this is public information on the web. They spent about $75 millions to build and sold it for 88 millions. If you divide the number by 270 units, the average cost is about $330,000 per unit.
Where do they leave YOU as an investor in terms of quality and value when possibly asking for 1.5 - 2.5 times the cost '
Heard from current tenants, cars have been broken into recently. A note regarding to this incident appeared around the property less than a day.
