Becareful if you are renting an apartment on the lower floor. You can hear the people upstairs walking (floors creak badly), playing their music, and even flushing the toilet. No noise from the apartments to the side but I'm not sure if that's because those neighbors are quiet. I would not recommend the lower floors if you have to get up early and the upstairs neighbors are night owls.
