This building recently (Aug 2002) changed ownership and it is mind-boggling that the new landlord (Robert & Lois Estopinal dba "Trebor Properties") is even WORSE than the disaster that was the prior landlord (Arthur Weil & off-site managers Beacon Management). The new landlord refuses to divulge any contact information other than i/c/o Denise & Bryan Hampton, the totally useless on-site managers in apt. 112 of the building. They are never around and there isn't even an emergency telephone number available. The building elevator was very recently out of service for over a month and no assistancve of even rent reduction was offered to tenants, many of whom are elderly and unable to climb as many as 4 flights of stairs. An almost exact elevator situation arose in late 1999 (with the exaxct same needed blamed for the reduction in housing service). The building has been poorly maintained for many years and now the time has come to pay for it with incessant loud, noisy repair work going on even on the weekends. The building leaks like a seive during rainstorms. There is little attention paid to security by the never-present on-site managers and landlord. In short, avoid this building like the plague!!!!
