Years at this apartment: 2003-01-01 - 2004-01-01
I lived in Island Club from 2003 - 2004. I lived in a 2 bed /2 bath upper unit and I never really had a maintenance problem and my unit was totally clean and we had new appliances when we moved in, so none of the asthetics were a problem. Nice big balcony and all the neighbors that were there at that time were awesome.
We were all excited when we found the place because the office people do a big song and dance for you and make you think they're the best rental company ever - but in reality - THE OFFICE STAFF PEOPLE SUCK!!!
They're absolutely horrible. Your rent check always gets cashed, but never applied to your apartment, or file, or whatever the heck they call it. You come home to notices left and right, especially with the stupid water/trash/sewage company they contract with.
I swear, not one of those girls in the leasing office could answer me when I asked them how it's decided what amount each tenant is charged. And the payment for this always seemed to get lost also.
Also, we paid $1,300 a month and signed a 12 month lease....we'll they decided to automatically renew our lease and they raised our rent to $1,650 !!!!!!! THEN when we gave our 30 day notice, a week later they offered us $1,150 for rent.... can you believe that?!?!
TOTAL rip off. Management is horrible - for sure! Very unprofessional too
