A decent place, however not worth the money

The apartments are far too expensive for the square footage. My particular unit is far too antiquated, although they are doing upgrades to certain buildings. I had a serious pest problem, which has yet to be resolved. Granted the exterminator would make weekly visits, the problem still persist. And legal action would extend beyond tenancy so I am just dealing with it. Grounds are maintained very well, I feel the high rent price goes to paying employees that walk around painting curbs every week and stirring up dirt with electric blowers. My immediate neighbors are a god send. Convenient location on intersection of Melrose and Oceanside Blvd. Majors issues that concerned me were the interruption of utilities for maintenance reasons without prior notice. Multiple times. Maintenance that is scheduled at particular times being performed weeks past the dates advised. Direct affect being I had to move furniture and other items to accommodate their requests. Little things such as notices, and informative letters addressing tenants, are poorly constructed, and extremely tacky. The current leasing office staff is seemingly incompetent, and somewhat rude, with exception of the property manager which makes things happen. Domestic violence issues within the community were scarce through out my tenancy; however vehicles were vandalized and at times stolen. Parking is ample; my neighbor was even nice enough to lend me his parking space for me to park both my vehicles. This community is a fairly decent place, however not worth the amount in rent charged. I am sure you can find a bigger, better place for around the same amount if not less like I have.
