I lived at Island club about 6 months ago. Anyone recommending this place is either buddy buddy with the office staff, just moved in and is temporarily fooled, or is indeed one of the staff. I can agree that the maintenance team is pretty quick and polite, most of the time. However, the office staff is rude and they go through so many people, its not funny. I hated having to call or go in. The manager talks down to the residents with her fake, plastic smile and over the top cheery voice. Glad I don't have to live with that, it would drive me nuts! Anyhow, the apartments do have issues, they aren't brand new. My major issue was the office staff and the way I was treated. My payment history was good.... I didn't have complaints against me, so I don't understand how or why they would be so rude, except for the fact that maybe they think they are better than the rest of us? Oh. I did not see a deposit returned. I cleaned, no damages... I haven't even seen anything saying if I owe or where my money went. Par for the course I guess.

REALLY PEOPLE???? THIS IS APARTMENT LIVING!!! TELL ME WHERE IN CA ARE THERE NOT CRIME! I THINK THESE APARTMENTS ARE GREAT! I MEAN YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT YOU HAVE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE---BUT NO SHE BECAUSE SOMEONE IN THE FRONT OFFICE PISSES YOU OFF OR YOU DIDNT GET YOUR WAY WITH SOMETHING YOU WANT TO GIVE A BAD REVIEW!!! FROM WHAT I HERE THE MANAGMENT AND STAFF HAVE CAME ALONG WAY CONSIDERING WHAT IT USE TO BE LIKE! THE RESIDENTS SHOULD READ THERE LEASE BEFORE THEY SIGN IT! AND NO ONE CAN SUCKER YOU INTO DOING ANYTHING---YOU ARE GROWN AND YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES! BUT FOR THE RECORD I LOVE IT HERE!

Hey anonymous respnder... Do you work for the office?? Does your name start with M? Seriously, read the reviews... people do not like it there! Take it and change it if you want to make a possitive mark, but coming on here and giving all the reasons that management thinks residents are complaining is silly and it doesn't make you look better... your rating still sits at 23%.

Ha what a joke! Aimco?! Dont waste your time calling these idiots... they initially tell you that they will help you resolve any issues with the apartment or staff when you speak to AIMCO but if you look up AIMCO you soon find out why theyre a major slumlord owning properties in diff states and cities. Its even worse than dealing with the less than competent staff. The entire staff are fake, plastic bs'ers. Its their job to smile and take your $ then stab you in the back and never help you, except to take your $. If we all had a class action suit against them how exactly would they defend their behavior and made up charges, it has jack to do with the reading of the lease because the staff here doesnt honor the lease? And as far as this ratings and website goes... the staff come on here all the time and put up all kinds of ridiculously "I love it here" ratings or they get their family/friends to do it. This is the most horrible place I've ever lived, EVER and I have lived all over the world. Someday the crap these people have been so happy to do to others will come back on them, and it wont be pretty.
