Management is Terrible!

We have lived in this apartment for quite some time and loved the complex when we moved in. The building is nice and new, the facilities are great. Kudos to maintenance, because they have always been great and are always on top of things! Management on the other hand is terrible. First, there is a circle in the front of the complex that nobody knows how to drive around properly. I asked numerous times for them to put directions in the flyer...it still hasn't been done. We have had a near accident on at least a dozen occasions. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Second, if you have questions, especially concerning money, expect to get no help. They are down right rude, even when they are in the wrong. They deposited checks one month, and it didn't clear from our bank (along with a number of other tenants). When we asked about the situation (over the course of 2 months), they just kept telling us that it was our banks fault and they can't help us. For two months, we had to carry the rent forward before it cleared from our banks (keep in mind, we payed at the first of the month when we were supposed to). Then, don't let them fool you about the great theatre they have. Yes, it is a great thing. What they don't tell you is that if you want to use it, you have to pay a $500 deposit!!! When we moved in, they told us that it was free to use and that it was a first come, first serve basis. That sounded great! When myself and two friends wanted to use it, they told us we would need to write them a check for $500, and when we left, if everthing was still as it should be, they would return the check...yea right. Needless to say, we wouldn't even attempt to trust them on that, and we have yet to use the theatre. So much for the great things they offer. Lastly, we got a "deal" when we moved in. Just as a previous tenant mentioned, if you renew your lease, you can forget about the deal. We received our renewal at the end of our lease and they want to hike up the rent over $200 per month. Needless to say, we looked around and found a much better place...with much more to offer at nearly $300 less per month! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The "niceness" isn't worth the hassle!
