Moving to The Missions has been several humongous steps above the last apartment (Mariposa Apartments in Vista) I lived in! There are no roaches, no loud obnoxious kids smoking weed at 2 in the morning outside my window, I don't have to leave my apartment to do laundry, my fridge works, I can walk around barefoot, it's breezy, bright and spacious. I am thrilled about my new place!

I have one pretty big gripe though. If it wasn't for this, this place would be practically perfect. My gripe is...WE CAN'T GET TV, damn it!

The first week my boyfriend and I moved in, we called Direct TV right away to install a dish for us. They came Saturday afternoon and left without installing a dish BECAUSE our balcony is facing the wrong way. The dish guy said that in order to get a good feed we'd need to have a balcony facing southwest. Now, this would be no problem at all if cable companies installed here but, alas, they don't. ...At least the big ones - Cox, Time Warner, Comcast - don't. (Believe me, I've checked twice with Cox and thrice with Time Warner. I didn't even bother getting on the phone with Comcast because I already knew the answer. I just checked online and that led me back to Cox. *sigh*) This may or may not be Missions' fault but I am somewhat bothered by this. Does no one at The Missions watch tv''! How do people not go insane during football season if there's no tv''!! Anyway, our only option is to move to a different apartment in the complex if they allow us to. If not then I suppose the only option is to buy more boardgames. ;)

I am moving in soon and realized that the only Internet service is ATT DSL?!?!
