Nice, but no AC

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
My wife and I have lived at Montecito Village since Nov. 2003. We signed a year lease, but are planning to move out when that lease is up. The apartment we have is a two bedroom with one bath, upstairs with a fireplace. It was upgraded right before we moved in so the paint, carpets, and other floor's were new. If you are to move into one of these apartments definitly get the upgrades. The inside and outside of the apartments is very nice and clean looking and well maintained. We only had to request a few things regarding to service but they were quickly fixed most of the time the same day. The big problem with this complex is there is no AC, we did not realize this before we moved in other wise we would probably would not have moved in. It was very hot in our aparment during the summer and there was little or no breeze. There are a lot of windows in our apartment which is nice and can be hard to find. Parking could be a problem at times but most of the time I was able to find a parking spot in front of our apartment. We did rent a garage for 50 dollars a month which isn't a bad deal, they did offer a second one at 25 dollars, but we didn't really need it. There are childern in the complex and they tend to play outside but they are not out there early or late and they are not too loud when they are. We could only hear the people below us when they were on their patio, but other than that we never really heard anybody when we were inside. We could hear when the peole behind us were using their bath or running water in their bathroom, but only when we were in our bathroom. I would recomend this apartment, but you can find apartments that are comparable with AC for the same price. We are moving to a new apartment in Vista and it is more expensive monthly but with the move in specials it is about 500 dollars cheaper a year. Bottom line it is a nice complex but I find it strange that it doesn't have AC. If it did have AC we would not be moving and would probably stay there until we could afford a house, but it is just too hot in that apartment during the summer.
