I was impressed with Montecito Village from the time I pulled into the parking lot. The drive up to the community is also beautiful, the neighborhood is better than any other in Oceanside. I was greated with a hand shake and a bright smile from the staff in the office. The office is consumed by awards for the staff and the complex, and I can easily see why. I moved into the smallest apartment, a one-bedroom that is upstairs. I was offered 2 different apartments when I rented, but one was "upgraded" and was a little out of my price range, so I took the cheaper one. I love my apartment. The staff is always willing to help where they can and maintenence, if needed, gets done usually the same day. I have referred a couple friends here who have also recently moved in, I got $100 bonus for each of them! I agree about the parking, it is tight sometimes, but I have a garage for only $50, so it is not a concern for me. I read the other review about not having A/C, but this doesn't seem to be an issue for me because the apartment has a lot of windows I can leave open and a ceiling fan. Besides, there were only about 14 days of the summer I really wished I had A/C. The girls in the office let me know that there was such a things as an A/C system similar to the swamp coolers used in Arizona where I'm from. They were on sale at WalMart for only $75 and at home depot for $120. I didn't buy one, but if you're a hot body in the summer, then I recommend it, but for normal people, it really doesn't get THAT hot. I love this place and I will live here for as long as I am in California. I recommend it to anyone!
