Thank God my lease is almost up! Our upstairs neighbors flooded our apartment by leaving their water running. When we called emergency maitenence at 8pm 4 inches deep in water, they never answered the phone, returned our call, or bothered showing up. When we finally got in touch with someone (the next day!) we were told the only thing maitenence could do for us was ask our neighbors to turn off their water (WHAT'!) but they assumed we had already done so. The clean up was left up to us. By the way, the maitenence staff will come in your apartment when you aren't at home without any sort of notice. We put in a work request to have an appliance fixed and when it still wasn't fixed after 2 weeks, called again. We were told they came in to look at it when no one was home- WITH NO NOTICE that they were coming or had been in our home. We haven't had problems with bugs or mice (knock on wood!), but the noise is worse- at least mice would be quiet! There's nothing like waking up to the vibrations from the bass next door and the drunk teenagers screaming outside of your windows at 3am! The staff is ever-changing and it seems like the polite ones that know what they're doing never stay... can't say that I blame them!
