I am a new tenant to Silver Oaks.

I had come to this website before I moved in.

I called and the ladies there invited us to come to the place and see it.

We saw a model apartment and were told that they were all the same.

We talked about the stuff on this website and they assured us that these problems were Individual housekeeping and non ventilation issues and the problems were all resolved.

We wanted to see the apartment first to be sure we were in fact getting a good place.

We have now lived here for a month and a half and there are no problems here.

They are all nice here.

We are happy to have moved here.

you have got to be kidding me. "INDIVIDUAL HOUSEKEEPING ISSUES?" thats the worst excuse I have ever heard. you can clean the walls over and over again, but if the mold is growing inside the walls, how does you cleaning the outside do anything? Ventilation will not help what these people had to go through, obviously the problem lies inside the walls, and I doubt very much when they moved in, that the mold was present. Right now, you don't have any idea of the awful things that are about to become of all of your possessions. These apartments should have been torn down in 2004 when they first had problems. I know when you moved in you were promised this clean apartment, sounds great right? They are able to paint over mold you know! just wait. wait and see. you will be sorry. oh yeah, the landlords are really nice. they are. until you have some maintenance issue with the 1970s plumbing, or like mentioned earlier, the mold. but you'll find out, probably in a month or two. What I find funny is that every time the rating on this web page goes down, someone writes a good review to make the rating go up again. No rating will help these apartments, everyone with a brain will complain.

Wow, just wow. I lived there and it was not because of personal cleaning issues as to why I got mold. Mold in the summer time was low, but once the fall-winter hit, we were BOMBARDED with mold. You can leave the bathroom vent on all day and you get mold because mold in the walls is not from you. Please please please, do not listen to the landlords when they say the problem is fixed or that it was other people's problems. I had to buy a dehumidifier to take down the mold, that costs $$$$ in electricity and buying the unit.

The mold problem was not fixed! When i moved out they actually payed me $1000 and gave me my whole deposit back because of damages from mold!! My doctors office is right down the street so i go by there and within 1 month of me moving out they had it rented out which means that nobody went in and tore down the walls so the mold is still living behind there!! AND my bathroom vent never worked so I had to leave my bathroom window open 24/7 and THAT didn't even help with the mold!!

I have mold, but of course it wasn't there when in moved in...it was painted over. How do I know, well the paint is chipping off with each shower and going down the drain, and the mold is staying!
