Unfair with security deposit!!

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
 
After having a walk-through where the leasing agent said "I'll probably get most of my security deposit back" I get a check 1 month later for 20% of my original deposit! I call to complain, and they are rude and unprofessional. The names of the apartment leasing agents are Pam and Michelle... do NOT trust what they say!!
