It??s cheap apartment living so I couldn??t expect too much. Very cheap construction, thin walls, old appliances etc. When your downstairs neighbor shuts their front door you will hear it and feel it. If you??re close to Madison you will get the joy of hearing the motorists using Madison Ave as a drag strip. The stretch of road has some sort of appeal to make 90% of Harley owners feel to need to open it up for a few hundred yards with their loud pipes??.because we know ??loud pipes save lives??

With cheap apartment living comes the scum of the earth, the residents. Now, not all of the residents are scum, however, 70% are. You??ll run into the unemployed man and his hooker/junkie partner living in a one bedroom with their 3 teenage kids. I??m not sure how this works or even if it??s allowed but it??s there. Of course you??ll have the $200 rust bucket of a car powering the $500 subwoofer system coming home late in the evening letting everyone know they are home. And can??t forget the pack of wild kids running around unsupervised because their mother is trying to decide between the chicken or the beef top ramen for dinner. These little pukes think the sound of rocks hitting the top of the carport makes a pretty cool sound. The bigger the rock the cooler it sounds. And hell if you??re able to wing a half pound rock from the other side of the parking lot and actually hit the top of the carport you are rock star material. Only problem is, people park under that structure you little puke sacks. I??ve never prayed so much for that white van with no back windows to roll through the complex for a pickup.

Management was good. They did what need to be done in a timely manner. Keeping the grounds clean was pretty much a full time job due to the d-bag residents who just throw crap wherever they want. They did a decent job at keeping the complex presentable. Never had any issues with parking.

I think the service and quality of the complex is 100% reflected in the price. There are nicer places to live and places far worse. I??d recommend it to anyone looking for a place on a strict budget and not looking to get shot.

I'm not sure what area of the complex you live in, but the section I'm in is GREAT! The neighbors are so nice and polite, and QUIET. I've never had a bad night with noice. The kids are around riding bikes, but never in the way. I HAVE lived in cheap apartments, and although madison hills is affordable it is not "CHEAP", just a little older, but the maintenance team is great and keeps the grounds up very well. The last place I lived WAS paper thin walls, the ground was uneven, there WAS no maintenance team to speak of, and talk about BAD appliances, there was NO a/c, just a little swamp cooler that was only for the top floors and was broken most the time. The stairs (made of concrete) would break and wouldn't be fixed for months. I lived in a snowy area where they would never plow, and the carpet would come apart as you vacuumed. Madison Hills has been friendly, and great. If you have such a problem with it, talk to the manager. I'm sure she would help in whatever way possible because I've had nothing but support from them with any issues. Maintenance requests have always been fixed within a day. I agree that there are luxury apartments out there that may be more resort like, but I would reccommend this community to anyone that needs a nice affordable housing option.
