While the Desert Oasis Apartments fail in most respects, prospective renters (especially those new to the area) must keep in mind that there are few options in the Coachella Valley. Crappy management is unfortunately what you get unless you get lucky and find a nice arrangement that doesn't involve a large apartment complex.

Having read all the reviews posted prior to mine, I would agree with all of them, except I know nothing about Mr. Torres and I was not aware that the health department has actually shut down the pools.

The landscaping design was originally very nice (desert style) but is not well maintained. It still looks OK, but could be better. Garages are only on the north side of the complex and only convenient to those that live on that side. There are some apartments that seem to have too many people in them. There is a lot of partying and late-night complaint calls seem to have little affect. There have been two fires here since I've lived here.
