Worth checking out - When I first moved in, I had a noisy apartment and disgusting neighbors who attracted roaches like crazy (and of course, this meant my apartment was also infested). I complained and management moved me to another unit and then evicted the old neighbors (they were also breaking just about every rule in the lease). Nice and inexpensive I have lived at Palm Desert Palms for over a year and couldn't be happier. I love the townhouse layout, however the upstairs gets very hot. The a/c doesn't seem to reach the second level, you must have a fan in the summer. The complex is very quiet and clean.
