This is a convenient place to live if you work at Stanford or in the Page Mill Road area.

I live here in a Stanford subsidized apartment. Our rent is $1200. In 2001, this rent was lower than the market price. Now, it is almost certainly higher. I feel that we received one of the best, if not the best unit in the complex.

The complex is three stories high. As a rule, the higher you are, the hotter the apartment (no A/C). Units that face southwest receive much direct sun. Units on the south side of the building are close to Arastradero Road will be noisy. Our unit is the northernmost unit on the ground floor, and faces northeast. It is cool during the summer, has only two adjoining apartments, and is far from Arastradero Road. However, we sometimes are bothered by noise from Gunn High School (friday dances, kids doing doughnuts in the parking lot).

The complex has great access to a nice neighborhood, with lots of quiet streets for walking and running. It is also convenient to use the nearby bike/pedestrian trail to get to the Stanford area.
