Old units, Expensive, and Illogical management

Believe it or not, if rates are reduced at Stanford Villa apartments, you cannot take advantage of them if you live here. INSTEAD, you must move to ANOTHER unit even if it's within the same complex to get the lower rate. It's a strange corporate policy...
The units are pretty old and not so spacious for the above-market rents this place charges. We have a great view of a dumpster and we are paying $1,700 for a studio as of May 2001. Currently, they are charging about $1,500 for a studio, so we are going to move instead of dealing with this rather unreasonable real-estate management corporation.
Their electrical wiring is horrible. I could not even get a second telephone line in my apartment. And the apartment management would not cooperate in installing a second line, EVEN when it would have been at NO EXPENSE to them. Believe it or not.
I would ONLY recommend these units as a last resort.
