I left there last year because of my job relocating me back to the east coast. I contacted them by phone and rented place without even seeing it since I was in NY and couldn't get out to CA to look. When I got to my apartment it was after hours and they made sure that a key was made available to me. I didn't get there until almost midnight but as promised, the key was waiting for as well as a killer apartment. I'm from NY and know that when you get an apartment, you get it as it was left by the previous tenant. I was blown away at how clean the place was.
The staff was always extrememly nice to me. The Manager always called us by our names which was a nice touch. Usually we get the same ol' "what apartment are you in'" routine but they always called us by name. He gave us the sense that we were welcomed there.
Unlike the other bad ratings, my service calls were always done fast. The biggest issue I have with Stanford Villa is the parking. It flat out sucks! My GF always got the parking space and I usually had to park in the lot next door.
Let's see..... the apartment itsef was giant (1 bedroom) and we had a cool person that lived next to us. She lived there since the early 80's and old us that the management is the best it's ever been to date.
Oh yeah.... the laundrys are small but adequate at best.
Last thing is that my ar got broken into once but it was my fault for leaving a walkman on the front seat.
If I move back to CA, I don't have to search for a place to live as long as Stanfrd villa has an open apartment for me.
